Nylacast at the 16th Annual Automotive Steering Systems Europe 2024

The 16th Annual Automotive Steering Systems Europe 2024 concluded successfully on November 28, 2024, at the Hilton Hotel in Munich, Germany. Nylacast Automotive garnered widespread attention and acclaim for its latest achievements in high-performance safety-critical gear design, development and manufacturing. Over the three-day conference, Dr. Tom Hardy, Senior Application Engineer at Nylacast Automotive, and Pascal Tuszewski, Project Manager at Thyssen Krupp, co-presented a keynote speech titled "Optimising Gear Manufacturing to Improve Torque to Rotate". The duo shared their collaborative Design of Experiments (DoE) aimed at optimizing the precision cutting setup for polymer gears to significantly enhance the Torque to Rotate (TTR) of EPS gearboxes. Through this innovative approach, Nylacast Automotive successfully improved TTR, further solidifying its professional standing in manufacturing safety-critical high-performance gears.

Dr. Tom Hardy emphasized during his presentation, “We are not only focused on safety-critical high-performance gear manufacturing for Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems but also apply our worm gear technology in Automotive Braking and other applications which are crucial for enhancing vehicle performance and driving experience.”
